Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in the United States, costing Americans $1.2 billion annually.
Last year, identity theft increased on a national average of 1%. No state is immune.
Massachusetts ranks 23rd in the United States in identity theft complaints, according to he Federal Trade Commission.
The newest group to proactively fight identity theft is
AAA Pioneer Valley.

As North America's largest non-profit motoring and leisure travel organization, it provides over 173,000 members with travel, insurance, financial and automotive-related services.
