Black Friday is Near!

This is a payperpost sponsored ad.

It's here again--almost.
Soon, it will be the time to roust the children on a dreary

morning to stand in line for Black Friday sales.
Some of you may not be familiar. Black Friday is the day after
Thanksgiving when serious Christmas shoppers begin their holiday shopping.
Major retailers around the country discount products to help kick off the Christmas shopping season. The Black Friday ads are usually kept secret until you receive the circulars in your Thanksgiving Day newspaper.
Black Friday is not for the last-minute shopper but those of us who keep an eye out all year for the elusive toy, sweater or newest pant and shoe shape that loved ones just must have.
The official day for us is November 26 each year.
These Black Fridays are usually marked by 4, 5 or 6 a.m. stands in lines at local malls and department stores to get the best sales before it's all gone bye-bye.
This year, however, it will be different for some of us because
we're going to black friday 2007 on line this year.
At this Web site, all of the stores that I would have fought traffic to get to are in one place so that I can sit in the comfort of my home sipping hot cocoa and clicking my way to vauable savings.
Every Christmas, Best Buy offers excellent electronics and appliance gifts for my whole family and
Circuit City deals will make sure that MP3 player will be under my tree at the lowest possible cost. Kids like electronics for Christmas and I know I'll be able to get them there. However, I won't have to stand in the cold morning drizzle to get them.

Buy a House

THIS IS NOT A SPONSORED POST
Mortgages are going through hardship.
It's hard to find a site that has information on mortgages and mortgage advice to homeowners and first time buyers.Remortgages is a way of changing the terms of a current mortgage.
Apparently, it can be a way of raising cash besides getting out of an expensive monthly payment.
Rent to own mortgages have seen a growth in the past few years.
Given the state of the housing market in the U.S. and my ability to buy a home, I actually have been giving the latter idea some thought.

I Love PayPerPost!

I found out about payperpost through one of the Google ads on a Web site. Until then, I had never heard of people getting paid to blog about the things they love. I couldn't wait to participate. I feel like Hemmingway--except that I'm not. I'm just a girl who likes to write and I simply adore my blog. It has a nice mix of video, pics and text.
As a new Postie, I have become exposed to all kinds of new products and services that I may not have otherwise heard about. I really like that I have the opportunity to earn money writing about stuff on my blog.
The other things I like are the tutorial videos and RockStartup.
RockStartup is a series of reality shows streamed on the Web about the company that owns PayPerPost, IZEA.
It is so funny--it should be on television. It puts you in the mind of the Office meets Curb Your Enthusiasm but because it is a real company it's much more interesting.
In one episode, they were talking about the parking situation where they are located and getting new office space. The interaction between the characters/employees/owners was amazing. I was really impressed because they thought to record what it is like to be a part of a Web company from start-up until now.
Another feature I like is the PostieCon Annual User convention they have coming up in Las Vegas. I would really like to attend. It sounds as if it would be informative and fun--A WHOLE LOTTA FUN.

Newest search engine--Spock.com

Spock is the newest search engine on the market. Spock makes it so easy to search for people by name or by tag.
Sounds interesting? Well, say hello to my little friend! (enter ghoulish laughter and hand rubbing here;}).
What makes this search engine different is that it is a people search engine. It provides links to their Web presence. It provides results by searching bio pages, social networks, news sites, blogs, directories and by using information provided by its members. Once joining, you can shape what content is found when a search is performed using your information.
Members are encouraged to enter information about themselves into the database so that they become searchable.
Well, to be nice, I Spocked reporter first and here is what I found:

Another interesting Spock search is pro-choice candidates.
I started to explore the site after a while.
A search on President Bush led me to 8,585 results.
Don't worry if you search your own name and nothing pops up because the site is also user generated. That means that once you become a member you can put your information in Spock to become searchable for relevant information.
I put myself in in the site and now the tags writer and photographer are connected to my name. I also put the college I graduated from for added benefit.
I searched Gary, Indiana and photos and information about Marlon, Jermaine, Janet, Michael, Tito and LaToya appeared along with information on the famous brothers. I didn't look through all 25,437 results found to see if big sister Rebie Jackson was included. I think she likes to keep a low profile anyhow. Also found was actor Avery Brooks, who is from Gary and this country's first black mayor of a major city, Richard G. Hatcher. Actors and Actresses returned a result of 41 photo-included results.
This site is really wonderful for looking up your favorite celeb to find out different fan-tastic factoids.
I was watching cable news while composing this post and something about the "Don't Tase Me Bro," controversy was on so I Spocked that phrase and found some results with photos. The nice thing about this site is that photos are included if they are available without doing a separate search. I really liked the site and am glad to find out about it. Here is a link to it so that you can give it a try:

New Idol site--Idol Exclusive

Whether you are a fan of Fantasia, Kelly, Clay or Carrie the new fan site Idol Exclusive has it!
It has Canadian and American Idol features, blog links where Bloggers are writing about their favorite Idol contestant and a cool Idol hit music player right on the site.
The forum is the best. It's where Idol fans everywhere can share their thoughts and ideas on the show or their favorite Idol participant.
The unofficial fan Web site also has polls, news and photos of contestants on the popular show as well. I like the fact that it links a lot of Idol resources in one place so that when I want to chime in, I can go to one place to post.

MerchantCircle.com

Ahh, to be one's own boss. There is a lot of responsibility with running a business and business owners need to know how to access resources quickly. It also helps if you had someone--anyone in your world who could understand your frustration when one of the people who owes you money and one of the people to whom you owe money--is ganging up on you.

MerchantCircle is that Web site. The site is essentially an online directory, except that a business owner can claim their listing and customize it with backgrounds, pictures, blogs, coupons and newsletters.
Neat, isn't it?

Another cool thing about MerchantCircle is that business owners can communicate with each other, trading tips online, anywhere in the country. Many of our business owners do not have a website of their own and use us as their main web presence.

The creators of MerchantCircle have gotten a few people to agree with them. Search Engine Lowdown and Business Week have both written articles about them.

Also, business owners can find local customers or new customers with high search engine placement, track what people are saying about their business and advertise online with coupons, ads, newsletters & blogs.

How Do You Choose?

In this instance, I have always wondered about Netflix but now I know the service is probably not for me. See, I'm the type of person who needs support at the video store. Even if I get the DVDs through the mail, I can't figure out what movie to choose after I have picked the ones I really want to watch. Like, I'm a big fan of Nic Cage and Jamie Foxx so of course I want to see those movies first. But what about Jake Gyllenhaal--I've seen two of his movies and he was good. Should I choose this one? Well, of course I'll ask the helpful staff at Blockbuster. At lease one of their employees has seen every movie in the store and can make informed suggestions. They even know about the kiddie movies and if the themes are too adult. (Some cartoons are made for adults and yes I watch Adult Swim)
So the comparison on the Best Buys Web site is useful--matter-of-fact--the whole site is useful.
Sometimes I just cannot decided which product is best and Best Buys Comparison Reviews help me with this. The site gives me details on each product. I can tell they actually put some thought into what they have written.

How to Become a New York Times Bestselling Author

Who will read your book if no one knows it exists?
Wouldn't you like a shot at becoming a New York Times bestselling author?
It is said that everyone has a book inside them and that is probably true. However, even if you have a book inside you and manage to write it, how do you get it into the hands of eager readers?

1001 Ways to Market Your Books, written by noted author John Kremer, describes more than 1000 ideas, tips, and suggestions for marketing books – all illustrated with real-life examples showing how other authors and publishers have marketed their books.
And who wouldn't want to become a New York Time's bestselling author?
Kremer is an acknowledged expert on book publishing and marketing. Besides being the owner of a publishing company (Open Horizons in Taos, New Mexico), he is the editor of the Book Marketing Tip of the Week newsletter.
Just think, in as few as 12 teleseminars, you could be a celebrated New York Times Bestselling author.Twenty-two people participated in the first teleseminar on April 10th. Kremer interacts with each caller so that no one feels left out.

Participants may receive their choice of taped reproductions of both teleseminar phone calls (April 10th and May 8th), a step-by-step document outlining everything you have to do to carry out this proven method and create a New York Times bestseller and or a downloadable audio of the talk he's given for years on "How to Out-Sell the New York Times Bestsellers Without Breaking the Bank."

Ultimately, the choice is yours to make. Either you can continue to struggle with a bare bones self-publishing company and selling books out of the trunk of you vehicle or you can save yourself time and money by listening to a proven leader in book marketing and jump start your career as an author.

The 58-year-old author has written and published a number of books on publishing and marketing, including 1001 Ways to Market Your Books: For Authors and Publishers (6th Edition), The Complete Direct Marketing Sourcebook, High Impact Marketing on a Low Impact Budget, and Celebrate Today. He has also designed the Do-It-Yourself Book Publicity Kit, Book Publishing Reports on CD-Rom, and Book Marketing Mini-Book series.

As a consultant, his clients include a self-published author who has sold over a million books, a new age publisher with 60 titles, and a $100,000,000 publisher with a rapidly growing list of 1,000 titles. Kremer could do the same thing for you.
Even with all of his hard work, Kremer knows how to have fun so his siminars are engaging.
